    Pointwest Celebrates 2016 Year-End Party

It’s the season of merrymaking once again at Pointwest as it celebrates its year-end party with the theme: Heroes vs. Villains at the Metrotent Convention Center on December 6, 2016.

Pointwesters brought out their flair for fashion and creativity as they cosplayed famous superheroes. Many attendees tried their best to look just like their favorite  DC and Marvel characters. Some of the most detailed costumes that evening were several Thors – including a female version – and two fully-mobile Iron Man costumes. One Pointwester, who was cosplaying Maleficent, even had articulated wings.

There were also quite a number who came as pinoy  superheroes and villains.  And, of course, characters from well-known anime like Ghost Fighter and Dragonball Z mingled with the likes of Superman, Captain America and Darna.

The leaders of Pointwest got into the spirit of the event as well. Pointwest President and CEO, Beng Coronel, looked classy and stylish in her Poison Ivy costume while Pointwest Senior Executive for Admin and Finance, Jowee Reyes, exquisitely mimicked X-Men leader Storm.

There’s a reason why we chose [this theme] ‘superheroes’ for tonight. And I think that’s because, all throughout this journey, we had to face changes and challenges. And we are all superheroes who are always ready to overcome disruption in the industry. Renato Quizon, Pointwest Executive Director Business Development

The highlight of the evening were the performances of each market circle, who clearly put huge amounts of effort to showcase their talents. But, there can be only one, and for the fourth straight year, the Healthcare Market Circle  was called to the stage as champion.

Pointwesters also got the chance to bring home prizes from the raffle. Some of the prizes include all-expense-paid trips for two to Boracay and Palawan, 13.3-inch Macbook Air laptops, and a Samsung 55-inch HD Curved TV.

Digital engagement among the guests was taken care of by Pointwest’s events engagement app, EESY (white-labeled as Pointwest YEP 2016), where people enjoyed capturing photos of one another with custom frames, and viewing the program for the night.

Indeed, this year’s Christmas party was a fun-filled and memorable for all. A fitting cap to a year of heroic efforts by every Pointwester to show that the Filipino IT and BPM worker is world-class.

This would not have been possible if not for your contributions, your determination, your trust, your belief and sharing [with] our dreams. To the 1,300 great men and women of Pointwest, thank you… You are all our superheroes! Beng Coronel, Pointwest President and CEO
