Pointwest Brings Digital to Softcon and HIMScon 2017
October 23, 2017
Pointwest is set to participate and bring digital experience in two of the country’s biggest annual conferences, Philippine Software Conference or Softcon and Health Information Management Services (HIMS) Conference 2017. Both events will be held at the SMX Convention Center of SM Aura Premier, on 24 and 25 October 2017, respectively.
Now on its 5th year, Softcon is billed as the premier event for showcasing the world-class IT products and services in the Philippines. Organized by the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA), it brings top experts and personalities to discuss the state of the country’s IT industry and will showcase the latest trends in software development and technology.
Pointwest’s Senior Software Engineer Kim Deloria and Head of Digital Capability Sherwin Pelayo will be breakout session speakers for the non-coding technical tracks of the breakout sessions. Mr. Deloria will discuss the value of Data Science in Testing on his talk “Analytics in Software Testing.” Mr. Pelayo will use a famous toy line to illustrate Experience Design in “Design Thinking Using the LEGO Serious Play Method.”
On another note, with the theme “Unlocking Opportunities, Embracing Change,” this year’s HIMS Conference made possible by the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP) is a must-attend event for healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders as it provides delegates with learning, networking, and business opportunities in the healthcare industry.
Ma. Cristina “Beng” Coronel, Pointwest and HIMAP president will have her significant share in the conference by discussing the state of the Philippine HIMS industry and how it continuously grows in the business sector. She is also expected to present the industry’s roadmap for the next five years to inform delegates on how they are planning to keep the Philippines as the go-to country by global HIM companies.
Alongside the industry update, she will also be part of a panel session. This panel aims to obtain reactions from HIM IT-BPM stakeholders and industry players regarding the emerging trends in healthcare and transforming healthcare services through IT solutions.
Both conferences will have Pointwest’s EESY as its official mobile app partner. The company’s very own mobile app allows delegates to easily access need-to-know information of the conferences, find out the speakers and interact with them during breakout sessions by asking questions or answering polls, share real-time event pictures to social media, and more. This will be the 4th year EESY has been the events app for Softcon, while it will be the second time it will be so for HIMScon.
Softcon and HIMScon share the same goal of strengthening competencies of industry players by bringing together experts and professionals to talk about the latest trends and practices for IT and Healthcare. Moreover, these two events will serve as venues for the business community to determine and consider strategies that will make Philippines as top-of-mind for quality IT and healthcare information management services.
