Pointwest sends a senior level delegation to the 2016 Gartner Sourcing & Strategic Vendor Relationships Summit scheduled for Sept. 21 – 23 at Grapevine, Texas.

The team is led by Pointwest President Ma. Cristina “Beng” Coronel. Having an all-female contingent, she is accompanied by Senior Executive for Finance and Administration Ma. Josefina “Jowee” Reyes; Vice Presidents for Outsourcing  Practice Cora T. Agbayani and Lucy S. Flores; Chief Technology Officer Veck Basinang; Head for Banking and Retail Tech Aguila, and; Head for Transportation and Logistics Eleonor de Leon.

Considered as one of the most important gatherings of professionals in the sourcing of IT and Business Process services, the Summit aims to provide participants with an in-depth look into future trends. The event is also a good chance to share best practices with peers and even enhance skills and knowledge through various sessions prepared throughout the summit. .

Aside from the scheduled presentation by industry experts and Gartner analysts, among the features of the Gartner Summit include analyst sessions, problem-solving workshops and clinics for honing negotiation skills. Gartner analysts are also on hand to provide consultations for those in need of more specialized knowledge and advice.

Attendance to summits and other events like this one is how Pointwest maintains its edge over competitors both in the Philippines and abroad. The company’s leaders have often remarked on how staying current means staying ahead of not just one’s rivals but also serves to “future proof” the company from disruptive developments.

“We attribute this resiliency, in large part, to our ability to identify trends, and shift towards meeting them with agility, while selectively retaining what made us successful,” Ms. Coronel said in a Thought Leadership article on Pointwest’s ability to adapt to disruptive influences.
