Pointwest Joins International Business Leaders, Gov’t Reps at Asia Pacific Forum

Pointwest Executives lead Philippine delegation to the first PANZ (Philippines Australia New Zealand) Business Forum in Manila to discuss economic opportunities in the Asia Pacific Region. 

Manila, PhilippinesBigwigs of Asia Pacific economies are expected to address issues and opportunities in the region’s major industries, from outsourcing to mining, at the PANZ (Philippines Australia New Zealand) Business Forum. The event, which will be attended by top executives of Pointwest Technologies Corporation, takes place at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel on February 27 and 28, 2012. 

As both leader and pioneer in the Philippines’s Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing (IT-BPO) industry, Pointwest is keen on playing a vital role in the discussions on economic integration.

Joining government officials, investors, industry analysts, and other trade organizations, the company’s executives are set to take part in plenary and industry sessions. Topics of the plenary sessions include doing business across ASEAN, key developments in the economies of the three participating countries, and ASEAN as a gateway to China. The covered industries, meanwhile, are mining/ oil & gas, infrastructure/ energy, services (includes outsourcing), and manufacturing/ agribusiness.

The two-day event also features talks from business heavyweights like Phil O’Reilly, CEO of Business NZ; Jim Meynink, Country Chairman of Chevron; and David Mahon, Chief Investment Officer of Mahon China.

After the PANZ Business Forum, Pointwest executives will fly to Hannover, Germany for CeBIT 2012, the leading trade show for the Information and Communications Technology industry. The event runs from March 6 to 10.
