Pointwest as Outstanding Global Player in the 2016 National Export Congress

Pointwest Technologies Corporation continues to rack up recognitions by winning the Outstanding Global Player Award of the 2016 National Export Congress (NEC) on Wednesday, 7 December 2016, at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City.

The company was chosen based “on set criteria for services companies recognized to have exemplary contribution to the industry and exhibited excellence in their respective field,” according to the notice sent to Pointwest President and CEO Ma. Cristina “Beng” Coronel by Dir. Senen M. Perlada, head of the Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Executive Director of the Export Development Council (EDC).

The award comes in the same year Pointwest achieved for the third consecutive time “Best Filipino Owned Company of the Year” at the International ICT Awards Philippines, earning it Hall of Fame honors.

The NEC Awards is part of a drive by the Philippine government to promote the export industry, as embodied in Presidential Proclamation 931, s. 1996 and House Resolution No. 33 that declared the first week of December as National Exporters’ Week.

Co-organized by the DTI-EMB, the EDC, and the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT), this year’s NEC has the theme, “Advancing SMEs through Inclusive Business: From Local to Global.”
