In Times of Digital Transformation – Imagineer a Technovolution

Pointwest recently celebrated its Foundation Day anniversary. It’s been fourteen exciting and enriching years, and the company extends its sincerest appreciation and thanks to its longtime employees, partners, and clients for their continued support. At the same time, Pointwest takes a moment to ponder how it’s been, and how it can continue to positively shape the customer experience.

2016 has been a year of surprises and challenges – from unexpected election results in the Philippines and in the US, to BREXIT or Britain’s decision to leave EU, to a rise in cyber-attacks worldwide – these socio-political events make global sourcing even more complex.

Meanwhile, enterprise-wide digital transformation continues this 2017, but as IDC notes: “we are coming to an inflection point.” Automation and AI, the Internet of Things, Big Data, and mixed/augmented reality are together accelerating the Cloud, Mobile, Analytics and Social technologies for mainstream adoption, resulting in a tectonic shift in technology and business models. One can no longer confine digital transformation efforts as projects or within business units. Rather, one must embrace digital, be digitally-savvy, and for a truly 360-degree view of the business, build a ‘digital twin’.

As part of its digital transformation efforts, one of Pointwest’s large US-based accounts in the retail sector collaborated very closely with Pointwest to deploy DevOps. Essentially, DevOps advocates deep communication and collaboration between software development and IT operations, supported by automation, and buoyed by a corporate culture that is focused on IT helping the business win. It is a natural but tricky complement of Agile methodology, which results in a state of continuous software integration and release to deliver immediate value for customers and for the business.

Pointwest is unafraid to learn and re-learn to mobilize solutions for its clients’ competitive advantage.

Last year, the Company commenced a handful of Japanese accounts, the fruit of surmounting language and cultural barriers, and years of attending international conventions. It deployed CenterPoint, its home-grown service management software, in a record-breaking 45-day turnaround for the national Bureau of Internal Revenue. It also began immersion in the Life Sciences vertical, and is poised to leverage on its Data Analytics practice to more quickly deliver quality healthcare solutions.

Pointwest anticipates the lines between IT and Business Process Management to blur as it delivers all-encompassing but differentiated solutions that require blended services.

Amidst constant disruption, Pointwest shall remain steadfast in its value disciplines of operational excellence, customer intimacy, and product engineering/innovation.

IMAGINEERING a TECHNOVOLUTION @ Pointwest is the Company’s theme for 2017. This takes a page from Disney’s makeover with their MagicBand to address increasingly sophisticated and tech-conscious consumers. Now, more than ever, is the need to imagine, innovate, create, and execute flawlessly solutions that improve the entire customer experience. Note that technology merely amplifies the experience, but at its core, the Disney DNA is all about creating wonderful memories. Just like Disney, Pointwest taps on its intrinsic culture of excellence and its focus on customer engagement to introduce innovations that benefit its clients, its stakeholders, and society at large.

In 2017 and beyond, Pointwest sustains the imperative of digital transformation to create moments, experiences, and stories that can both survive generations, and shape delightful customer experiences. The Company aims to deliver not just quality technology solutions, but real business impact…

Real business impact with a heart.
