You’ll keep busy by doing the following:

  • Plan and lead large and complex projects including all testing activities.
  • Fully responsible for the entire testing project.
  • Work with infrastructure and application development teams to establish and maintain test environments.
  • Communicate issues identified during testing activities to application development team lead and manager, assist in the defect triage and resolution.
  • Represent SQA on application/project teams and in software development, project planning, and requirement gathering meetings.
  • Define and track QA metrics such as requirements coverage, test case readiness, test execution progress, and defect count and statistics.
  • Development of all testing artifacts – test cases, automated test scripts, test plan document, test summary report, and requirement traceability matrix – in HP ALM and SQA project repository.
  • Prepare knowledge documents and provide cross-training to team members.
  • Follow, enforce, and advise on improvements to software QA standards, procedures, and processes.

You’ll keep busy by doing the following:

  • Develop, modify and maintain automated functional test scripts for the use of Health Check, Smoke and Regression Testing.
  • Develop, modify and maintain service test scripts for the use of testing web services and APIs (SOAP and REST).
  • Run and execute automated test scripts to make sure that functionalities of the application are working based on its requirements.
  • Develop, modify and maintain Performance Testing scripts for the use of Load Testing.
  • Run and execute Performance Testing scripts to make sure that the system/application can withstand the maximum number of users it can handle.
  • Report defects found during the testing.
  • Use good communication skills in interfacing with the clients on their needs.
  • Write a Test Plan on testing an application or system with different types of testing (Functional, Service, Performance, etc.).
  • Work on any software testing methodology that the team is currently using or will need in the future (Agile or Waterfall).
  • Analyze requirements, write and execute manual test cases when needed.

  • Review system requirements, design and implement. Monitor overall testing processes and stages: determine bugs and system vulnerability, provide solutions, and report accurate metrics.
